Who we are
Bylo Solutions is a trading name of BYLO LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 16985464), registered office 49 Well Street, Buckingham, MK18 1EP. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
For anything about your information, email privacy@bylo.io or write to us at our registered office.
The short version
- We contact businesses we think we can help, by email and phone.
- We only use business contact details, mostly from public sources.
- We record calls, and say so at the start of every call.
- You can tell us to stop at any time, and we will.
- We don’t sell your information.
If we have contacted your business
What we collect
- Your business’s name, address, website and what it does.
- Names of directors and officers from the public register at Companies House, and the names, job titles and work email addresses or phone numbers published on your business’s own website.
- Notes on whether we think we could help, including a fit score worked out with the help of AI, with quotes from your website showing why.
- Our emails and calls with you, and any replies.
Why we can use it
We rely on our legitimate interest in finding businesses we can help and telling them about our services. We keep this to business contact details and public information, we make it easy to object, and a person reviews every business before we contact it. The fit score helps us decide who to contact; it never makes a decision about you that has a legal or similarly significant effect.
Emails
We send unsolicited emails only to companies and limited liability partnerships. We don’t send them to sole traders or partnerships unless they have agreed to hear from us. Every email tells you how to stop further emails, and one reply is enough.
Phone calls
Our calls come from a Buckingham (01280) number. Before we call, we check the number against the Telephone Preference Service and Corporate Telephone Preference Service and our own do-not-call list, and we don’t call numbers registered there.
Recorded calls
We record sales calls and discovery calls so we have an accurate note of what was said, and we make written transcripts from the recordings. During sales calls our software may suggest what to say next. We tell you at the start of every call that it is recorded. If you’d rather not be recorded, say so and we will stop recording or call back another way.
If you’re a client
We use your contact, billing and project details to deliver what we agreed, collect payment and support your system. Our lawful basis is our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep accounting records. Direct Debits are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full bank details.
Where we run a system for you that holds your own customers’ information, we act as your processor under a separate data processing agreement, and your own privacy notice applies to that information.
If you visit this website
We use cookie-free analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It doesn’t identify you or track you across other sites. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Call recordings | 90 days |
| Call transcripts | 12 months after we were last in touch |
| Outreach records for businesses that didn’t become clients | 12 months after we were last in touch |
| Do-not-contact list | As long as we do outreach, so we never contact you again |
| Client and billing records | 6 years after the end of the contract, for tax and accounting |
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run our business. They only act on our instructions:
- Supabase: our database and file storage (hosted in London)
- Vercel: website and application hosting
- Google Workspace: email, calendar and documents
- Anthropic: AI used to research businesses and draft messages
- Twilio: phone calls and call recording
- AssemblyAI: call transcription
- Daily: video calls
- Data Soap: checking numbers against the Telephone Preference Service
- Stripe: payments and Direct Debit
- our accountants
Some of these providers store information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we use the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK–US data bridge.
We don’t sell personal information.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- stop contacting you, at any time, with no reason needed
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct it, delete it or limit how we use it
- object to how we use it
Email privacy@bylo.io. We reply within one month. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep just enough detail on our do-not-contact list to make sure we don’t.
Complaints
Please tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
